Greetings

Eli Weber

President of the Israeli Philatelic Federation

On behalf of the Israeli philatelic Federation and the executive committee of the exhibition I have the pleasure to welcome all the exhibitors from the three participating countries.

I’m deeply convinced that the Abraham Accords Philatelic Exhibition 2021 will form a basis for understanding and friendship among philatelists of our countries. Such an atmosphere will enable us to exchange views, share information and knowledge, and collaborate in philatelic research.

I would like to thank the Emirates Philatelic Association and the American Philatelic Society for their participation in this exhibition.

AAPE 2021 is held as a virtual exhibition due to the Covid pandemic conditions. I trust that nevertheless all the participants will enjoy the experience, and will receive some constructive criticism, which will serve them in future exhibitions.

Dear collectors,

During this last year the entire world faced unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We all had to adopt to a new reality, think “outside the box” and come up with alternative solutions.

Specifically, the philatelic world has shifted to cyber space. The Israeli Philatelic Federation (IPF) organized a national virtual exhibition (Netbul 2021), which turned out to be a huge success. Following this success, the IPF initiated another virtual exhibition: A tri-national exhibition with the participation of exhibitors from the 3 countries that signed the Abraham Accords, that normalized the diplomatic, economic and cultural relations between Israel, the United Arab Emirates and the United States.

The exhibition is another step in the implementation of the Abraham Accords, this time in the field of philately.

We, at the Israeli Philatelic Service, welcome any activity which promotes the exposure of the stamps of Israel to collectors all over the world, and in particular to new markets.

I wish great success to all the participants of AAPE 2021. I further wish to all the philatelists happy stamp collecting, and the best of health to you and yours.

Elhanan Shapira,

Director, Israel Philatelic Service
